Driving website traffic... CHEAP!
Having a spiffy new web site, buying a few Google AdWords and just waiting for the traffic to roll in is not Internet marketing. There are many ways to promote and advertise your site online, many of which are free!
1. Search Engine Optimization
Sites written in basic HTML, like the ones we create here, are easier for search
engines like Google to search and rank than the more robust sites that include
content management systems. Taking the time to create tags with two or three
keywords that your potential customers are most likely to type into a search
engine can go far when it comes to search engine rankings.
2. Start Blogging
Creating your own blog is a great complement to your website. Not only is it
simple to setup and very inexpensive (if not free), it is also a great way to
share pictures, audio and video with your customers. If you post frequently and
include keywords relevant to your business, your blog will be indexed on a regular
basis and, as a result, get a high ranking on the search engines.
2. Social Networking
Setting up a corporate presence on a social networking site, such as Facebook or LinkedIn can help you to build a community of potential customers. You can use these various platforms to interact with your customers and inform them about your company's news and events.
